The NS Critical Construction Worker Pilot, a pathway within the Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program, is established to alleviate housing pressure and expand housing construction in the province. It offers several advantages including low educational and language requirements, no requirement to graduate from Nova Scotia or have work experience in the province, and eligibility for applicants with experience in Nova Scotia, other provinces, or overseas. The requirements for applying to this program are as follows:
1. Obtain a full-time job offer letter from an employer in Nova Scotia who holds a valid sponsorship qualification.
2. Have at least one year of relevant work experience, regardless of whether it's in Nova Scotia, other provinces, or internationally. Specific job positions are outlined below.
3. Have a high school diploma or higher education, or possess relevant training certificates.
4. Be between the ages of 21 and 55.
5. For applicants in NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 positions, language proficiency must be at CLB level 5. For applicants in NOC TEER 4 or 5 positions, a CLB level 4 proficiency is sufficient.
