On July 6, 2022, the Canadian Express Entry (EE) immigration pathway finally resumed full program draws after being suspended since January 2021. This selection round marked the 226th draw for the Express Entry program, with a minimum invitation score of 557 points, and a total of 1,500 invitations issued.

Currently, there are over 226,000 candidates in the EE pool, which is significantly larger when compared to the annual quotas for EE in 2022 (55,900) and 2023 (75,750). The trend indicates that Canadian immigration is increasingly favoring applicants with Canadian education and qualifications, Canadian work experience, or those with Canadian employer sponsorship.
