On June 9, 2022, there was a policy change in the Nova Scotia Experience Express Entry (NSEE) program. It will no longer accept out-of-province graduates. To be eligible for provincial nomination, applicants with work experience obtained through a post-graduation work permit must be graduates from within the province. This policy change does not affect other categories of work permits, such as LMIA-based closed work permits and spouse work permits. Additionally, applications submitted on or before June 8, 2022, are not affected by this new policy.

It's important to note that Nova Scotia, apart from the NSEE program, still accepts applications from out-of-province graduates for some other categories of provincial nomination immigration programs, such as the NS Provincial Nominee Program for Skilled Workers and the Demand category, among others.
